Does anyone have any suggestions for eyeshadow primer for hooded eyes?

I don't think that it really makes a difference to which primer you use because of hooded eyes. There are many different ones you could use ELF primer, urban decay primer potion, too faced shadow insurance. My favorite is by smashbox I can't think of the name of it though.

I normally use UDPP and I got a Smashbox primer kit from ulta that had their face primer and eye primer in it. So I'll try that. Normally I end up w/a line of shadow in the center of my lid. I guess I may be the only one who notices. And I normally don't walk around w/my eyes closed.

It's probably because tour lids are getting oily. Try the smashbox one I have oily lids and it's my favorite. It's a drier consistency than say udpp

You could also try a green-based concealer before your primer - it tends to draw your eyes in and reduce the hooded effect.

I thought green was used to cancel out redness. Or did you mean cream based? Is there any type I should look for?

It's used to cancel redness, yes - but also has the added bonus of helping to recede the puffy look that sometimes comes with a hooded eyelid =)
Sephora makes a 4-color concealer palette that's not spendy at all - might be a good way to test the waters.

i have hooded eyes and i've tried Urban Decay Primer Potion, Loreal De-Crease, MAC Painterly Paint Pot, and NYX jumbo pencil in White.
All of them worked well. if your hooded eyes are contributing to them creasing more than they normally would, i would suggest udpp in eden because it is matte and oily lids probably are what make the shadow go to the center of your lid, and then mac painterly paint pot over top. it should hold.
i have hooded eyes and i feel that doing makeup on them can sometimes be more difficult, check out my blog and see how i work with mine:

I've started using NYX jumbo eye pencil and that seems to help quite a bit. Thanks for the help.

I have very hooded eyes and I really like Too Faced Shadow Insurance and NYX HD Eyeshadow Base :) They don't crease on me, unless I apply too much of it.

I use the ELF eye primer (it's amazing for $1.00!!) and Urban Decay Primer Potion. I also use NYX jumbo eye pencil depending on what look I'm going to do.
