are there any store brands that you buy over the real brand or just buy the store brand because it's does the same as the real brand? any store brand products you hate?
i use a lot of store brand items, such as equate (walmart) make up removing towelettes, & a ton of CVS brands (i worked there for almost 5 years & used my discount A LOT.)
but a recent video emilynoel83 did about drug store brands got me to go out & purchase the DG Body Revive Eye Serum. i don't know how much the olay regenerist eye lifting serum is, but the DG body brand was only $5.25, plus i'm always looking for good skin care products! so i'm going to give it a whirl.

You should try out the neutrogena make up remover towlettes in "Night Calming." They are Amazing!

When I saw the title of this post it immediately reminded my of emilynoel's video! :) I cant wait to start trying out the Dollar General brand stuff! I go to Dollar General all the time but never thought of picking up any of their store brand stuff!

i know i usually never look at the beauty stuff in the dollar store...just the elf section :p but for $5.25 & emily recommended it so i had to get it. i ended up with a over-the-door towel hanger, a few cute bins i'm gonna put my eyeshadows i think, & a bunch of pens for work (i'm a waitress, lol). perfect dollar store trip!

I usually buy my cotton balls in the store brands, and even some food items by target! They actually taste the same!

oh yes, cottonballs, qtips, etc i always buy store brand if it's cheaper. i was sort of aiming for beauty/skin care products, even make up if they have it.

This isn't beauty related but I went to Dollar General this morning and bought a trash can, 4 plates, and 4 cups for $3.75...gotta love that store haha

Check dollar general clearance stuff too! You can find makeup in there a lot of the times for like $1.

CVS has a brand called Essense of Beauty - and their brushes are great quality for a beginner... but if I'm buying generic, it's usually not makeup. I've found many are lacking a few characteristics that the Real Mccoy has that wins me over. =/

i just noticed that the DG body revive eye serum is shimmery? haha. i just noticed it on my finger after applying it. but it's really not noticeable on the face. odd.
@soma; i long for the days i had that 30% discount at CVS ): i love the EOB brushes!

I really like Up & Up (Target) brand stuff for body/shower skin stuff. I always compare active ingredients & check to see if there are any ingredients that would break me out (mineral oil, etc) Usually, UP&Up seems to be great at replicating the original product well.. I'm hooked!
