I don't normally do much with my hair, which was why I chopped it all off into a boy cut last summer. But it's grown back out now, a few inches short of my shoulders with nice choppy layers. It's too short for any styles I know, unfortunately, and I have a date on Saturday that I'd really like to look nice for.
Does anyone have any ideas for not-quite-shoulder-length hairstyles?

For dates, I looove to put my hair into a messy side bun with a but of hair on the sides, much how I have in my profile picture, and then add a headband with a romantic flower.

Ahh! I love layers. I would play up the layers (define and texturize with a paste or light hairspray). Depending on the weather, you could leave your bangs down and add a thin headband/cute pin OR pin your bangs up into a mini poof/bouffant/whatever you want to call it.
I hope all goes well!

Short hair... I would curl them into tight ringlets and pin them back from my face and into a semi-ponytail... since your hair is short, you would look like you have a huge bun of curls. Finish it off with a double strand headband for a fun and more casual look. =)

Thanks for the advice! Unfortunately, Saturday I was super busy after work and ended up only doing a small braid before he got here. But it worked out great- I felt comfortable, and he even mentioned how cute it looked! :)
