i had prep and prime skin and it left my face sort of greasy? im not familiar with any other ones that they carry. i do have to say though that tarte's clean slate primer is probably the best i've come across. you get a silky finish that isn't greasy and it's actually mattifying as well.

I actually LOVED prep and prime skin. When I ran out I felt so lost without it, well without primer in general my makeup didn't stay on as long and my face got very greasy by the end of the day. I had a bluemercury giftcard so I got a Laura Mercier one and I like it just as much. But anyway I really loved Prep and Prime Skin.

I have used both the prep & prime skin and the prep & prime face protect from Mac and I did not care for them much. They do feel good on the skin but the prep & prime skin has a lot of shimmer in it and I am not a big fan of shimmer and they both would leave my face looking so oily and greasy it was just a hot mess. There would be so much oil on my face within a couple of hour's that I could not blot with the blotting sheets or the blot powder I would have to remove my makeup and apply it all over again. On top of that I find their primers to be a little expensive.

I used to like the MAC prep and prime, but I have found that there are better primers out there like Smashbox (although many people have said it breaks them out) or Benefit's Porefessional. I think Boscia also has a good one as well, sorry I don't know the name but I think it's around $28. The MAC primers also have SPF which are not good to use if you will be photographed.
