Intros for Youtube Videos?

What's your opinion on intros for your youtube videos? Do you love 'em? Hate 'em? Prefer them with or without music?

I've been messing with mine but my boyfriend is of the opinion that its weird to have one. It's like trying to be professional but not, I guess? I don't know.

Anyway, I'd love to hear what you think.

(Semi-related, I did notice that I recognized two or three jingles in Garage Band as being used by beauty gurus I watch. How funny!)

I dont like them unless they are 5 seconds or under. It gets on my nerves when people have really long intros. I just want to jump right into the actual video :)

Yeah I think mine is 7 seconds after I've played with it and added music, but in my videos right now it's 3.5 seconds with no music! Such a dilemma.

I just checked out your channel and I think it's fine w/o music. Short and sweet! Or you could just use the 7 sec intro in one of your videos and ask if people are okay with that one or would rather the old one

I like intros - DustyOHunter's videos have great intros, and they're not long and obnoxious. He has great transitions and segways, and I think he's got it down perfect. Check them out if you want!  =)

I haven't used any fancy intros, I just usually do a text with background to introduce like a tutorial. I wish I could get a really nice intro for my videos though.
