Just got the new ULTA sale book in the mail and it's Reward Certificate Time! They changed a lot of the rewards this time. What are you going to get with your certificates?

I have the Ultamate Rewards because I think that's the only one my Ulta offered, I'm not really sure but they didn't give me an option for the Beauty Club Card. It's just like the more you shop, the more points you get. And they ask you at check out if you want to use your points. I usually say no until right before they expire and get a big discount.

In some areas ULTA does certificates, in other places they do points. I don't know that you can choose which program you're on.
I like the reward certificate system because I spend a lot there... But I'm kind of upset that they got rid of the free salon nail polish reward. You can get an ULTA brand one at level one or Essie in Ballet Slipper for level three. But I already have ballet slipper! It used to be that at level two you could pick any salon nail polish you wanted. Grrrr!

I cashed in my certificate yesterday. I got an ULTA brand shampoo--which I haven't tried yet-- and a fragrance-- Coach Poppy.

Looks like its level 6...the way I understand it I've got till the end of Sept to get there. It will be a challenge for me to spend that much on makeup in 3 months.

I'm strategic about how I get high levels. I like the rewards at ULTA better than Sephora, so if I want something from a brand that both stores have, I'll get it at ULTA.
I get all my shampoo and conditioner, hair brushes and styling products there, too.
They also have razors, face cleansers and lotions that I would otherwise buy at a drugstore or target--so I just buy them at ULTA instead.
I don't end up having to spend much on actual makeup to get good rewards!
And I am loving coach poppy. So glad I got it.

It's a challange for me because Ulta is about 20 miles from me. So it has to be something I really want to drive there to get it or I save up several things and order online. I love that they ship for free if you spend over $50 I think.

I did not know that Ulta gave out certificates. :( At my Ulta location I think they only do the membership card. I get coupons in their monthly ads for $3.50 off a purchase of $10.00 or more but that is all. :(

I am going to get the Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo. I went to get it last weekend but they were all sold out, so I am going to try again this weekend. Although, I was upset with them. I didn't know that they don't include taxes in your sale so I thought I was a level 6, but instead I was a level 5. Ladies, don't make the same mistake I did! xo
