does anyone know any good tricks for hooded eyes?

Take your crease up a little higher than you would think, to make sure that it shows when you have your eyes open, and using darker colors in the crease will create more depth.

Instead of concentrating on the crease, you can concentrate on the outer corner a bit more.

Oh gosh I had the most hooded, deep inset, far back in my head eyes ever!! haha so ive been struggling to make them stand out and it's a challenge let me tell you! I definitely take my crease up a bit and do NOT use eyeliner on my eyelid. Instead I fill inbetween my lashes with liner to add thickness. Lid eyeliner will only make them look deeper. Also, I will occasionally pop on some false eyelashes that flick drastically on the edges. It makes my eyes stand out. Too, Ive heard applying a light shade to the lid helps, but I dont see much of a difference for me. Basically, overall, Ive found that no eyeliner works best for me but i know that can be scary for some to hear! lol

I am 100% japanese and I've struggled with makeup since I have hooded eyes. I couldn't always create the same looks as the people who have creases. Now with a bit more experience with makeup I figured out ways that help enhance my eyes and shape.
For eyeshadows, I put down a lid color and blend upwards till it is visible when I have my eyes opened. Then above that I apply a transition color and stay where my "crease" would be and then apply a highlight. For eyeliner, I have to smudge/smoke it out because if I don't then using eyeliner would be pointless cause it wouldn't be visible. I basically keep blending it upwards from my lash line until my eyes are somewhat framed and look bigger.
Sorry if it doesn't make sense it's a bit hard to explain it in writing haha.
