I've been considering dyeing my hair red for the longest time and browsing around the LUSH site introduced me to henna hair dye.
The fact that it is pretty much all natural and non-damaging to the hair really attracts me (even though the process seems really laborious).
So beauties, has anyone ever tried this method or know someone that has?
How long did the color last?

dont use a henna dye! because its natural it will be very very difficult for you to remove in the future if you ever decide to change your hair color again. i know that doesnt make sense, because it's natural if bad...but it true. using the henna dye pretty much permanently stains your hair shaft. if you decide to go lighter in the future, that will be a very big challenge for you and i would suggest you go to a professional so they can do a color removal. just make sure to really think about it before you decide to use it.

I have also been looking into Lush Hennas. My goal is to achieve a darker hue of brown, with a slight tint of red. Although the henna will be hard to remove in the future, I suggest doing a test with the henna on, lets say, extra hair from your hairbrush. That way, you can be sure you will be left with the perfect color! To me, henna seems totally worth the laborious application process/waiting time because it can leave you with beautiful, natural looking hair color that is non damaging.
All the best to you! xoxo

I use a semi permanent hair dye and it is amazing Clairol natural instincts. My red colour is 23R. I don't find it too damaging to my hair and best of all it fades which makes my roots less noticeable. It doesn't fade all the way out though. Personally I liked the idea of henna but decided against it after doing some research.

You can't use henna if you have previously colored your hair, and you can't color over henna with regular hair color. I wouldn't use it.

Hm. I'll really have to think about this I guess. I never dyed my hair before and I don't think i'd be the kind of person to constantly change my color... but i'll definitely have to do more research on it.
Thanks everyone that's replied so far!!

I've never died my hair before either and I thought henna would be EASIER to get out of one's hair..I guess I was wrong lol
