Hey! So, I've finally decided to give into filming some simple tutorials due to requests from my blog... but I'm still very camera awkward and cant seem to keep my face in focus and in the camera frame.... my lighting is okay, but are there any useful tips? how do the gurus keep they eye zoomed in and not move out of the frame? Any advice would be great! thanks!

Use tape to mark off an "X" for where your camera stands on your table/tripod and one for your chair's position once you get the right position in your view finder. That way, you won't have to fidget so much in getting everything ready when recording. If you're recording w/ a digital camera, it's nice to have a large mirror facing the screen of your camera so you can see what others might see while you are recording. =)

I did try the tape technique! I think it may be the area and the mirror im using to attempt to film. Great option for the digital camera... I hate not being able to have a flip screen to see if im in view. Thank you!!

Usually you need to make sure that your camera settings are set for close up shots if you're having issues with zooming and staying in focus. As for staying in frame, its kind of a way of getting used to where your face needs to be. If you do a practice run and just sit in front of the spot where you're going to film when you're doing makeup and be there for a couple of days just to get used to the position your body needs to be in, you get used to it :)
