Girl if you're wanting to grow your hair out like you said I would only use heat on it when you absolutely have to! Like if you know you're just going to be hanging out at your house all day then don't bother straightening it or anything. If you're going out you can always just put it in a cute braid or something and you wont have to use heat! But like Mandy said, if you do decide to use heat then make sure to use a heat protectant!

Definitely air dry like everyone has said. Blow drying requires heat which damages your hair.

I have really curly hair naturally and I have always air dried because it keeps it healthier by using less heat as well as helps to not make my hair so POOFY!

Definitely air dry! I try to air dry mine as much as possible. Most heat protectants won't make your hair greasy. I had a little trouble with the CHI one though, I couldn't use a lot of it otherwise my hair would look nasty

My favorite is the Tresemme heat tamer spray, super inexpensive and it works great!

Air dry is the better option. My hair is very strait and flat so I do blow dry my bangs and my roots most of the time just to give it a little extra body. I don't blow dry it all the way though and I do let it airdry halfway through before I blowdry it. And of course like Mandy said a heat protectant or a serum that acts as a heat protectant an a nourishing product is a must.

I like both the Tresemme heat spray and the Pantene one. I hate the smell of the Tresemme one and it makes my hair kind of sticky and hard to brush through, but I love how it squirts everywhere. It's hard to explain! Make a fist and then open it! It's like that, when you press the squirt button it doesn't squirt in a straight line, it squirts spread out. Wow, I probably sound like an idiot...hopefully you understand what I mean. But I like the Pantene one because it smells good and it doesn't hurt my hair to brush through it and it makes your hair shiny too! What I don't like about it is that when you squirt it it squirts in a straight line and makes your hair really wet like that. So like make a fist and then stick your pointer finger out. That's how the Pantene one squirts which gets on my nerves because I have to wait for it to dry before I use heat. Aussie came out with a heat protectant too that I want to try out! :)

I switch between the 2 but usually Air dry since I have wavy to somewhat curly hair and drying it without a diffuser can make it frizz central.

A little blow drying is fine but majority air drying/ not touching your hair much is definitely the way to go if you want to prevent breakage=]

Don't wash your hair everyday if you are trying for healthier hair, try for every other day or every three days. Just use a shower cap on the days when you don't wash your hair while you shower.

It is always a great idea to air dry your hair as much as possible, however you have to make sure that you have conditioned / moisturized your hair properly in any case. I try to air dry my hair most of the time but there are things to try to stay away from the main thing you should make sure not to do is try not to manipulate your hair too much while in a wet state. Your hair is very fragile and heavy when it is wet, this can cause breaking and splitting. Hope this helps :)

i let my hair airdry as much as possible. i can't remember the last time i used a blow dryer. i usually shower at night, so it's easier not to be tempted by blow drying it.

airdry and if im going to be outside, i use a heat protectant (like sunscreen for my hair) & leave in conditioner just to help protect it from natural things like the sun, wind, etc

Air dry. You have to remember that blow drying is putting heat in your hair, which causes damage. Just towel dry well and let your hair dry by itself! (:

Like you, I am also trying to grow my hair out and the constant advice is to air dry as (for fine hair esp) blow drying can increase chances of breakage and also damage roots.

As for ironing your hair i personally feel its more dangerous as i have suffered from dry and bittle hair cause of it ! i suggest using it as little as possible and find a style to wear your hair that does not require blow dried hair! if you dont like the hair style you have after air drying, you wont be able to stay away from the blow dryer so find a hair do that goes with air dry hair ( in case of wavy/curly hair).

Air dry! Try and use as little heat as possible.
I usually air dry my hair and it grows abnormally fast.
Also trim dead/dry ends (if you have them) and it will grow faster!
