Hello All! I am interested in finding a foundation for oily skin that does not oxidize. I have a few foundations that I love, but within a few hours of wear, I notice that I have a grayish file across my face. This is becoming very annoying because it is especially noticeable because of my darker completion... Grrrr! I would love some insight/opinions if anyone has some. Thanks a bunch. Oh and I also use a oil-free mattifying primer prior to makeup application.

I've been using Bobbi Brown foundation for three years now I used to have the same problem before I discovered her line. I most recently picked up her mineral foundation and I was blown away by the way it just melted into my skin. No two toned look at all and it feels weightless. Laura Mercier is also another line with extensive shades for darker tones. I have yet to sample her foundation but from what I see at her counter the shades are pretty extensive.

Bobbi Brown Skin foundation and Laura Mercier Cream smooth foundation is really fantastic. The best thing to do is get samples of the foundations and see how they react to your skin. See which one you fall in love with : )

Make Up For Ever's HD foundation formulas are oil-free, so it should work well with your existing primer. Their foundation range has a wide variety of color ranges, and they do carry an extensive line for dark-skinned beauties such as yourself. I use their HD foundation in 123, and I find it does not oxidize on me much, and maintains my natural skin tone throughout the day.
Good luck!

Thank you everyone for all of your feedback. Im sorry that it has taken me some time to respond back. I am currently recovering from spinal (neck) surgery, so my medicine has really thrown off my days/nights. I will definitely have to try out your recommendations because the "gray" skin look isn't working for me LOL And don't get me wrong... I love my Lancome, especially having worked for them now for a few years, but they are dropping many of their darker shades in foundations that originally worked for me :( Oh well... on to the drawing board <3 Thanks again Beauties!

My MUFE mat velvet + is great, i had the same issue with you as my foundation oxidized and it was a mess. The mat velvet doesnt oxidize at all on me, and it also is good for oily skin because clearly, hence its name, is a matte finish. it looks very natural but leaves your skin looking flawless and not cakey :)

I had the same problem with my foundations..... I know how you feel. I am one to not spend tons of money on a foundation as well. UNLESS I am absolutely sure it is worth the money, and I have had tons of nights to sleep on it Lol. But I have found a couple. I love using the Maybeline 24 Hour Super Stay Makeup. And I use a matte powder to set. OR I love using the Stilla One Step Foundation. I believe that it is discontinued, but I believe its on the website for super cheap or you can find it on hautelook. That is where I purchased mine! I hope you have a good recovery from your surgery! Keep us updated! :)
xoxo,
Lindsey

Revlon ColorStay Foundation for Combination Oily Skin.
Set it with the Rimmel London Matte Powder and it looks flawless. The foundation itself will give you a semi-matte finish but dewy at the same time which looks fine! It stays for about 10 - 12 hours with no touch ups on me. I have a 7 month old daughter who keeps me quite busy so this works miracles. This is my alternative to my MAC Studio Fix powder.
Also, my T-Zone does not look all crazy!
After 4 hours of wearing my MAC Studio Fix I had to touch up everywhere! I don't with this. :)
