Have you ever thought about wearing a teinted moisturizer or were you truly in the woods for a foundation? You might like Clinique's Moisture Surge Teinted Moisturizer. It comes in about 6 different shades, has an SPF of 15, and provides excellent moisturizer to the skin. Its lightweight formula gives you the worry-free coverage without the look and feel of a foundation. Another great moisturizing foundation from Clinique would be their Supermoisture Foundation. It almost instantly comforts dry skin while creating a flawless, dewy look that disguises imperfections. It comes in about 11 colors making the matching process a breeze. Make sure that no matter what foundation that you chose, proper moisturizing is key... especially as we are closely approaching the winter seasons. Any Clinique counter would be happy to give you a 10 sample, which would allow you almost a "trial" run of either/or. That way, before you go out and spend any type of money, you can see if you truly like the feel and overall appearance of the foundation. Goodluck Hunny!

An excellent foundation is laura Mercier cream smooth foundation which I use cause I also have dry skin. Especially that it is winter time the cold can make your skin even more dry. It's very moisturizing and is a medium to full coverage foundation.

No problem Nikki. I worked for them for a few years, so I had a chance to try out just about every foundation sold in department stores. I wish I had a problem with being dry. I am soooo oily all year around. It doesn't matter the elevation nor the climate... I'm shiny :( But, my mother keeps telling me I will have less wrinkles, so I guess I will have to keep my fingers crossed on that.

I have extremely dry skin and nothing has sat better on my skin than my chanel vitalumiere aqua. It's consistency is like silk and it literally just glides over dry skin without any catching and grabbing on to dry areas

since its winter i tend to get dry spots on my face. drugstore wise, i recommend maybellines fit me foundation, high end wise i recommend nars sheer glow. i really hope this helps you!....if ur skin is still flaky and dry try exfoliating your skin to get rid of the dead skin cells. When i had dry skin my friends mom recommended me to exfoliate my skin with olive oil and sugar. it worked wonders for me :)

Chanel's Vitalumiere is excellent for dry skin if you want to spend some money for really good foundation. Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizer is really good, Makeup forever but go for liquid not powder!

I really don't have a lot of experience in foundations, but something that helps me a lot with my dry skin is exfoliating, after this I feel my skin like a carton box, so I use "ROSA ARTICA" by kiehls, because it takes the moist from the air and adds it to ur skin, really good product but hate the smell.
foundations wise I use the Revlon color stay for dry/combination skin, it seems to work when I apply the mosturizer and then a primer on my face.
that way you got not flakiness or at least what works for me.
Hope that helps

I personally have extremely dry skin.. normally around this time I can't even wear foundation because it literally makes my skin flake off. But this year I think I've discovered a solution to my problem! I've been using cliniques 3 step system but before applying the moisturizer I mix it with my tinted moisturizer by urban decay. Bolth products are a tad expensive but totally worth it. If I come across a day that my akin is extra dry I just don't mix the two so I get double moisture. Also, make sure you apply moisturizer directly after your shower or wash your face!
