I have a friend who just underwent radiation because of her thyroid problems. Due to the affects of radiation, she lost a lot of hair. Tonight she texted me asking if I had any suggestions on what she could use (shampoo, conditioner, product - whatever!) to help her hair grow back, but I was stumped. I would really like to recommend something, but I've got nothing!
I'm not a big believer in products/shampoos/conditioners helping your hair growth, but she's willing to try anything, and given all she's been through, I'd like to give her some options to at least TRY in the meantime.
If you have heard of something that supposedly works, even if you're not so sure, I'll take it. Thanks!
XOXO.

The only thing I can think of is what my mom started using "Salerm Biokera Intensive Specific Hair Loss Lotion" ... it seems to be helping but it will take a few months to really see results. Best wishes to your friend and a speedy recovery!!!

I've heard both horse and tail schampoo and also castor oil massaged into the scalp will help hair to grow faster, but I have no idea if it works, but it's worth a shot maybe? Google it first so she's sure how to apply it. Hope it works if she tries it out!

Oh, and I just read that if you have thin hair it's good to eat 2 tablespoons of black sesamy seeds under a longer period ( a year) to get back your normal hair growth. Some chinese said it would work. :3

I have been taking some vitamins from GNC for nail and hair growth. You can get their brand. It says for Nails and Hair and I am happy with it.

Mane N' Tail shampoo is great. Also massaging your scalp every day gets the blood flowing up there and stimulates hair growth. And taking prenatal vitamins or Biotin vitamins are a life saver also! :D And heat protectant, and strengthening shampoo and conditioner... Everything! The whole lot! Your friend is very brave, and I really hope I helped make her feel confident that she'll get that hair back! ^.^ Good luck to both of you!
