What's your budget? I could recommend you lots & lots of cameras but idk your budget.
The absolute BEST of the best is the Canon 1D Mark IV - it's the absolute best DSLR in the market today - but it's $5,000. lol.

If you want a good camera for videos then don't get a dslr. They don't always have continuous auto focus during video filming. At least not the ones around your budget.
Try a Canon PowerShot ELPH 300! It's budget friendly, auto focus, full HD for videos, and has 5x Optical Zoom.

I'm really considering the T3i Rebel, because I want a HD video camera and a DSLR and since it has the flippy screeny thing, it seems so tempting! In the UK, its called the Canon EOS 600D, what do you guys think?

If you've never used an SLR for recording videos, I hear it can be pretty confusing but the picture quality is absolutely amazing once you get it right.

@Tanziina I have the T3 Rebel and I absolutely love it. It is a bit tricky at first but the quality is so amazing. It really is worth it T3i Rebel is going to be my next buy here in a couple months and I'm sure it'll be just as great. :)
@Elizabeth I have a Sony Handycam it cost about 200 so far it seems pretty good I haven't really played with it too much. I filmed in HD once and it was really good quality for the price. Only thing I don't like about it is it doesn't do to well with indoor lighting at night :)

I have the Rebel T3i and it's absolutely amazing! It was also $1200, but if you want just a normal digital camera, I literally recommend anything from Canon. They make the best camera's and they last you forever, and the picture & video quality is amazing.
