Hey girls, now that I'm over my messy grunge phase I've been styling my hair in a lot of fashions that require hairspray to keep them neat. The problems is that I hate the way hairspray smells. Are there any brands you know of that smell really nice?

I always thought Paul Mitchell products smelled nice--they have a variety of hairsprays to choose from in a variety of holds. Wella's hairspray was specifically formulated to smell nice, and I think they have two different formulas right now.

Aveda products smell spectacular and are even helping the world around you when you purchase them. All products are natural, even color (with 2% ammonia), the hairsprays Air Control or Control Force are amazing. Air Control is for a lighter hold and Control Force is for a stronger hold! They smell almost too good!

At the salon, I love using Sebastian Re-Shaper because you can comb it out in a few hours and doesn't feel sticky or dirty.

Surface hair products are really awesome. They are also natural, paraben, sulfate and all that gross stuff- free. They have a regular aerosol hairspray called theory that smells really good and non chemically and they have a non aerosol spray called impulse that doesnt smell as nice but has a really firm hold. We use it at the salon for pretty much everything from wedding hair to huge poufy runway hair.
I'm sure if you go on their website they have a salon locator.

I know! I feel like such an idiot at the register when I pay for it though... Like I should say, "Yeah... I get my sexy on!" when there's that weird moment they read what it is when they're scanning it. =P

I don't really have that problem. But pretty much everybody in Utah is into cheesy/corniness. Utah is the capitol of cheesy! >.< It's not like buying tampons or condoms or something. (I've never had to buy condoms, but I imagine it would be awkward...) Stuff like that is awkward ville. I can roll with cheesiness though. :P lol

Eh, I won't need a bottle any time soon. I don't use hairspray all that often unless I'm curling my hair or something. :P

I personally don't use hairspray and haven't for a while. But I've been looking for a great hairspray recently as well to maintain my waves I wear ALL the time now. I've heard that L'Oreal's Elnett Hairspray is everyone's holy grail. It says it gives a great hold without feeling the weight of the hairspray. I might pick up that or the Sebastian Re-Shaper that Tara had mentioned. They always have a sale on those at Ulta. Good luck Amy! :)
