The thing about honey is that it has anti-bacterial properties and also works as a humectant on the skin. It protects your skin from UV (which is awesome). Another thing is that the darker the honey the more anti- oxidants thats why it works so well in clearing up acne. I alwayz enjoy a good sweet nice honey mask. It makes me feel pampered

I know I'm a lil late on this post, but for the honey mask is all you do is just put straight honey on your face? Or do you have to mix it with somethang..?

Yes you can just use honey. But I recommend mixing it with nutmeg and/or cinnamon. About 1 tablespoon of honey you should add 1 teaspoon of cinnamon or nutmeg

I ALWAYS use honey on my face!! It's wonderful!!! Marian said it right!! It had a natural anti bacterial property and helps protect from UV!! And go as dark as you can afford!
For removing makeup, try using jojoba oil! That works great! And for exfoliating..... I've said it a hundred times..... BAKING SODA!!!! Super cheap, works EXCELLENT!!!

raw honey can moisturize, tone even brighten your skin...but it doesn't have that good of a cleaning property. you cant substitute it for a cleanser..

Do you just wash your face with just honey alone and what kind? I would like to try this!

@andrea yes, you just wash with honey alone and then follow with your regular moisturizer/treatment. For the most antibacterial and healing properties, Manuka honey is the best. But it can be rather pricey, so if you can't do that, raw and/or unfiltered honey of any kind is the best. :)

Use as a mask and not a cleanser. U still need a real cleanser to clean out your pores n all the impurities from the day.
