What kind of brushes do you use for different types of foundation?
Please help!
Thanks

I use my F80 Sigmax for almost all liquid-cream foundations. Beauty blender for cream foundations that I have to scrap out the pan and sheer out. And a standard powder brush for pressed powders.

can you give me examples of a cream/creme foundation and one of a liquid.
I think Mac Face and Body is Liquid right?
I usually just do it with my hands..
Last night I used Nars Sheer Glow foundation and the brush I used was like the F80 but by bare escentuals and I just feel like it doesnt do what I want it to do.

Did you try using the Beauty blender?
Your hands are actually the best tool cause your body heat warms the foundation up making it more manageable to apply.

I find that a Stipple brush works wonders when applying foundation. I'm currently using the ELF one but only because I wanted to try a stipple brush before I decided to invest in a high-end brand one.

The stipple brush does work really well but honestly if your having amazing results with the Elf one might as well stick with it! I paid 40$ for my MAC and almost cried when I realized I could get the same look/effect with ELF for a fraction of the cost of the MAC brush. Although lately, I have been using my hands to apply foundation.

F80 for LIFE! This brush is the MAC 187 killer! I love it with my MUFE HD, and my MUFE duo-matte powders. Such a versatile brush...
@Myshel D. - the ELF stipple brush isn't a fav of mine as much as I like their flat top powder brush for foundation. Their stipple brush is the flimsiest stipple brush I've tried... And Studio Tools makes a really good drugstore version, as well as Sonia Kashuk. =]

Yeah Sonia Kashuk is the one I'm going to buy... I was trying out the ELF one just to see if I should even by a stipple brush.

It actually depends on what U like, I use 2 things a foundation brush, I got one from crown brush and is really good and then I would use a wedgie to take away the strokes the brush made...
there are the beauty blenders, though remember to put some water in them or they'll suck your foundation, I sue this with pretty much any foundation, from liquid to cream.
oh yeah the stippling brushes are another great alternative, I have a couple of crownbrush, but Sigma and other make exceptional stippling brushes, the one I fall in luv with is from Real techniques buffing brush, I luv that brush to work the product into the skin <3
and it didn't shed to me a +
U get some other brushed with the set around $10.00 dollars.
also remember ur skin type, I use the foundation and spong cuz I have dry skin and i would flake like crazy if i use a stippling brush.
Hope that helps a lil :)

Mostly Sigma F80 these days, but I've also used a standard flat foundation brush (currently a Studio Tools one I got a Target several months ago). For tinted moisturizer, I just use my fingers.

I use the Real Techniques stipple brush! Its seriously so amazing, great quality and very affordable! I hated wearing foundation but I ordered the brush to see if it would change my mind and boy did it. I use the Maybelline FitMe foundation or the ELF liquid foundation with a stippling brush and my face looks airbrushed for hours.
