I was just curious what methods you use to keep your white brushes from staining (e.g. the MAC 217 or 219)?

Dr. bronner's tea tree Castile soap... Works like magic! I use it in a foaming cleanser bottle to make sure the suds lift the pigment out of the hairs gently, and the suds show if there's any residual pigments left in your brush.

I posted a demo here if you're curious: http://www.beautylish.com/v/gryza/how-to-clean-your-brushes-w-foam-for-cleaner-brushes

I don't really take any preventative measures to keep them white. Washing gently with Baby Shampoo usually works fine for my Sigma F40. If it does get stained, which happens with intense pigment, I wash with Baby Shampoo and Vinegar instead, followed by a regular wash and rinse thoroughly.

I add a little olive oil and mix it with the soap when I'm cleaning my brushes. Completely cleans all the color out of your white brushes!

I just use baby shampoo, too. Never thought of adding vinegar, though, for stained ones.

Palmolive dish washes gets all the nasty gunk an color out my brushes all off my brushes are still as white as the day i got them ;)

I use baby shampoo with my MAC #217 and it removes all the color immediately. What I also do as I'm using it though is that I keep a cotton round taped to my countertop so whenever I'm about to use it to blend in another color I swirl that around on the cotton round several times before going on to the next step in my make-up application. I think that might be helping as well with keeping it pristine white.
