Hi there!
I was curious if anyone new of any other hypoallergenic makeup brands other than Marcelle, Annabelle, Clinique or Almay?

They are amazing products and I've tried them, but other than Annabelle, its slim pickings for other shades and palettes.

Don't be tricked by the term hypoallergenic. There are no FDA standards for what is considered "hypoallergenic". Basically it is somewhat of a made up term in the cosmetic world. You can be allergic to anything

@Courtney A. is right. I've used "hypoallergenic" stuff and have been allergic. The reason why there are no clear FDA standards is because every skin is different. The "'standard" generally is what is most popular in the "allergy" universe. So do test and play. Patch test new products if you are concerned. I have extremely sensitive skin but am able to use most cosmetic lines from low to high end.

I agree with April and Courtney. Everyone's skin is different. Everyone's environment, hygiene, diet and habits can contribute to a skin reaction. Also take into consideration that the brushes or applicators you are using might have bacteria that is creating a reaction. Hormones and diet also have a big hand in breakouts. I saw one of Mexilana/VivaGlamLana's videos in which she stated that MAC was hypoallergenic. Whatever that means, I'm sure a dermatologist tested the product to make sure it doesn't severely create a reaction but those reactions differ from person to person. Thank God that we are protected by consumers rights which allows us to return a product that isn't working for us. Just keep on patch testing and remember to scoop out with a clean spatula, use clean brushes and fingers. Try to rule out other factors before coming to the conclusion that your makeup is the culprit in your reactions, this way you will know what to avoid in the future.
