What do you guys use to clean your brushes and applicators?

i use olive oil once a week to deep cleanse my brushes. What I mean is that I dab some olive oil (extra virgin if it makes a difference) on a paper towel and gently swirl the brush I am cleaning through it... this will break down the product. Then, I will wash them under warm water until the water runs clear with Johnson's baby soap. It's gentle and effective.
To spot clean, I use Crown make up brush remover in between the once a week deep cleansing... You can use this to simply remove color after using your brushes.. or if you want to use the same brush, you can use a very light amount and it dries real quick. I invite you to check out my YT channel, the link will be beneath my post if you want to. =)

What about the ones for eyeshadow?

It's the same process.
Are you referring to sponge tip applicators though?

I've never cleansed a spongetip applicator with the process I mentioned, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. I was talking about regular makeup brushes.
But, you can try. If worst comes to worst, you can just buy some new ones... They are really inexpensive anyhow.
You should be able to just rinse them under warm water as well with the baby shampoo. =)

Try to mix olive oil and baby shampoo, and rinse it under warm water. This should clean your brushes

Never use soap on brushes it will leave a waxy residue! I use baby shampoo and baby oil for hard to get off stains like liner. For sponge applicators I would just throw them out and buy new ones they never clean very well and are a bit unhygienic. This will show you how to clean your brushes - http://alittlebitofmakeupandbeauty.blogspot.com/2011/11/cleaning-brushes-101.html

I use philosophy purity with a tad of baby shampoo to clean my brushes. I actually cleaned my brushes yesterday and I felt like it took forever. Wish there was a fater way without damaging the brushes : (

@Sarah C. I have had that happen and I used a DROP of Gorilla Glue. Worked way better than crazy glue and glue gun--but seriously...you only need a drop.

I use the same thing to clean all my brushes: Fairy liquid and sunflower/vegetable oil. I'm tempted to use an actual brush cleaner though.
