Make your own ALL NATURAL eyeliner

Just saw this on Ancient Archeologist, weird I know but it's an ancient way to make kohl without the poison aspects of using lead.

You will need:

Olive oil
Almonds

First you need to roast the almonds until they are charred black. In a mortar and pestle grind the almonds until smooth, add olive oil, drop by drop, until you get the consistency YOU want. Want a thicker liner then use less olive oil, want thinner then use more.

How long it lasts? No idea, I haven't tried it. If you want to watch this episode it's airing at 2 PM Pacific/5 PM Eastern on the History channel today (9/21).

I really wanted to make this for a while and with two ingredients I just couldn't be lazy about it anymore. It's pretty legit in my opinion. I used an old liquid liner applicator to apply the mixture. You should be warned of the smell of burning almond it's pretty much burnt to charcoal so it's gonna smell like it. I think I accidentally got a few drops extra oil in so it's really shiny so pour carefully and remember almonds already have a little bit of oil in them. I'll probably burn another almond later to balance it. But I just made this so I'll have to see how it handles the wear of time. :) I think it's way too easy and probably costs 2 cents with one almond and 3 drops of olive oil.
