Your skin tone is your guide for selecting a blush shade. If your skin has cool undertones, choose plums, mauves, and cool pinks. If your skin has warm undertones, choose earth-toned colors. If your skin has neutral undertones, choose colors like rose, coral, and sandalwood (pinkish beige). Women of all skin tones can wear natural soft browns to mimic a tan.

I think I agree... Perhaps I need to be more clear... "Guidelines to finding your perfect blush, but anything can go that is the beauty of make-up!"
I like your point of view thank you!
Thanks!!

I used to worry about my blush matching my skin-tone but it's tough to tell with me 'cos I've tried all the "FInd Your Skin Tone Tests" and I get mixed results. So I just popped a brain clutch and bought whatever caught my eye and looks good on my skin. That's alright, right? Right!

I JUST started buying blush that's "right" for me & find that peachy-corals look good on my... very yellow skin. Usually for a normal day out to school.
Earth tones? I've been working with makeup for a long time & have no idea what that even looks like... any suggestions?
But truuuust - when I'm going out I'm going to be popping that blue-toned bright pink & not care I'm as yellow as they come because it still looks good. Weerk. XD

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved these comments.. Earth tones.......hmmm I think of Dirt Brown... Blue... ocean water?.... Jungle Green, Ice berg Blue? Hmmm seems to me Earth tones could mean a variety of BRIGHT colors... I think they need to put "Earth Tones" into levels! lol!!!

Lex - Guuuurl youuu knoww!! XD XD
Monica - haha, I agree - I guess they mean browns & stuff? Maybe like contour colors, because I feel like I've been told that before. Haha, I highly doubt somebody is going to wear Ice Burb Blue & try to resemble Antarctica. XD

Andrea,
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Alaska perhaps!!! Or an use it as an inspiration!??!?! LOL too funny. No I get it but serious... all browns as earth tones? Who's bright idea was that? the earth has so many other tones... Now I am sure there was a logic to this IDEE-ER somewhere but art has no logic to me... this was fun guys. Great topic!

See, I think of "earth tones" as browns, greens, sort of muddy colours. (Blues are more "sea/sky colours" to me.)
