What's good for mainly oily skin but dry also

I have oily skin, round my cheeks, chin and above my lip but my nose and forehead are oily/dry and I'm using Lancome moisturizer. It seems to only work for a bit, after I wash my face it feels perfect but through out the day the parts that are dry stay dry. Don't know what to use and need something because it's annoying feeling the dry bits. I would appreciate it if you could help :)

You may want to try a product with salicylic acid (BHA) to help exfoliate the dry spots (it can cut through oil, unlike AHA). I have skin that peels and oily patches as well and I use BHA to tame the peeling and then apply my moisturizer.

Neutrogena's Oil-Free Acne Stress Control 3-In-1 Hydrating Acne Treatment and ProActiv's Clarifying Night Cream both have BHA.

Thank you very much :) The only thing though is that I don't really break out and my skin isn't acne prone any more so I'm just wondering if they are good for skin that isn't acne prone but thank you again for that :)

BHA is just an exfoliant. The difference between AHA and BHA is that AHA is meant for only dry skin, BHA can penetrate oils and exfoliate into the pore as well. But you can totally try some AHA products too, like: Alpha Hydrox's Oil-Free Formula 10% Glycolic AHA Anti-Wrinkle and there's also Derma E's AHA Alpha Hydroxy Acids Beauty Fluid.

Ok thank you very much :)

That happens to me in fall sometimes!! Usually if I'm dry in some areas its cause I'm using a light moisturizer when I should be using a heavier moisturizer. When your skin is on the drier side, you'll notice that your skin produces more sebum to make up for the loss from cleansing, but areas like your nose and around your mouth don't have as many oil producing glands. So while your cheeks may get oily and your tzone, its just because they CAN produce more natural ouls and your mouth and nose area may remain dry and start flaking. Try using a heavier moisturizer. Cetaphil's moisturzing cream is always a turn to product for me, and you'll notice that your skin will be more balanced due to even distribution of hydrating particles. That was a LOT, but I hoped it helped! : )

Thank you very much! It's been happening to me quite alot though not only now but yea maybe what I should be doing is to use another heavier moisturizer for the bits that are drier..never thought of that haha :)

Thank you.
