I want to start making youtube videos because I want to meet new people with the same interests as me and I want to help people with product reviews.. Any pointers? tips? advice? from youtube video makers? thanks for reading I hope I can get some good advice(:

Just be yourself!! That's the only way you'll find people with the same interests. If you try to act like someone else then you're gonna meet people with the same interests as that person you're pretending to be.
Most of all, just have fun! In the beginning I was a bit obsessed with views and subscribers! Now I just upload videos that I want to and read the comments. Yah, it's nice to have subbies but the number doesn't matter. After a while, you start to recognize who regularly watches/comments on your videos and they sort of become your friends. Don't say something is "super cute and trendy" if those aren't things you look for or even say.
Unlike Andrew I ADORE my naked palette!! And that's exactly why you have to be yourself. Not everyone is going to like the same thing!!

I felt really uncomfortable at first, but I now have 185 videos on my channel and my advice is to relax, and be yourself. Everyone says that they want to have nice HD videos, but that doesn't really matter unless it's not webcam quality. & be different, get creative and do fun makeup looks!
& I also LOVE my Naked Palette, I use mine daily.

Like everyone else has said, being yourself is the most important thing. Don't let jitters get the best of you and practice and continue to learn and grow. I say that you never stop learning and discovering and its so great when people apply it to their videos!

Be open, honest, and be yourself of course. But most importantly do what you enjoy doing and don't worry about negative responses. Take negative comments into consideration, some might be constructive criticism. If it's anything other than that, don't live off of it. I think it's ok to make a video off a webcam, because some webcam's aren't that bad. I think you can decide for yourself it it's bad quality or not. Probably might want to take consideration of the length of your videos and what you want your videos to be about. Good luck (:

Thanks for all the advice girls!! I just feel so wierd doing it lol The main reason I want to is because I was so confident and social a couple years ago & then I had my son & I became so anti-social and insecure so I feel like it's time to go out and make new friends and just not be such a hermit crab anymore. I want to do it to boost my confidence and to be able to get out of my confort zone & have fun. I am at home 24/7 & I feel so trapped sometimes.. Don't get me wrong I love my son & I take him EVERYWHERE but it seems like the friends I have now are on a whole other point in life so I want to find people I can relate to and mainly just people to talk to.. & I also like giving my honest opinion about stuff and a lot of people ask questions about my make up & I wanna let people know tricks & stuff like that..Well I'm going to try it out.. We'll see how it goes.(:
