Do you prefer using a standard curling iron or a clip-less curling iron and why :)

Probably standard by default, as I've never used a clipless one. Heh.

I just recently purchased clipless and returned it. I was uncoordinated to use such a curling iron...or maybe cuz my hair was too short for it. I will stick up my regular one for a while.

Standard curling iron for me. I use the same technique when using my regular curling iron by wrapping my hair around the barrel and it works perfectly fine. No need to invest in a hundred dollar clipless iron.

I loooove my Remmington Ceramic Pearl Curling Wand! Only $30 and it works GREAT! Really easy to use...just wrap your hair around it, hold for a few seconds and voila! My hair is fairly easy to curl but this holds its curl EXTREMELY well, I don't even have to use hair spray! Since this wand goes from 1inch to 1/2inch it gives you smaller, but really cute curls!

Thanks ladies! I was actually worried I won't be coordinated enough to use a clipless one lol.

honestly, i love my clipless NuMe curling wand. i do admit, it did take me some time to learn how to use it but after that, i've learned to curl my hair in less time than i did with a curling iron with a clip. the i have is ceramic and tourmaline infused... and seriously my curls last way longer than they did with a revlon curler.

i prefer the one's with a clip. you can get the same results as a clip less one with the regular curling iron. you can just get a nice regular curling iron and just wrap your hair around the barrel just like you would with a clip less one . hope this helps :)

I prefer a curling wand or clipless one because it curls your hair way faster and there are no marks from the clip

Clipless for me. Nothing else will get my hair to stay in a curl as it is naturally very straight. I am not sure what it is about it, but the clipless ones work best. I did however shop around and make sure I didn't spend a huge amount on mine, one I got from T.K.Maxx (I think it is T.J.Maxx in the US right?) for £30, and another I got from a hidden sale website, also for £30. They look the same as the ones you see on the stand in shopping malls so I assume they are made by the same people!

I use both clipless and standard. The only clipless curling iron i have is the Conair Infiniti one and it makes very pretty curls. I have heard that it works wonders with girls that have hard-to-curl hair. I have a lot of standard curling irons, but I use them the exact same way as I use my clipless. I just wrap my hair around the barrel and just pretend like the clamp isn't even there. :)

I have the conair infiniti one and a normal curling iron but I think I'm going to use the infiniti one a lot more- it curls my hair wonderfully! My hair doesnt hold a curl but with the conair infinit it lasts an entire day and then the next day too!

the clipless definitely. I never used to curl my hair before I bought my Conair You Curl Iron. Being able to just wrap my hair around the wand without a clip makes it so easy! I curl my hair all the time now!

Addie, your video is gone =(
I use a Hot Tools 1.25" barrel iron. I swear, the thing was forged in the depths of Hades - it's THAT hot. But it's got a good temp gauge on it, so I don't destroy my hair with it.
The clipless ones freak me out a little. They look a bit like a (can I say this here...?) sex toy. =\

Omg Kimberly - you're rather right! Lol.
I wanted to try a clipless one for the longest time. I had an old curling iron lying somewhere, so I removed the clamp (usually by just removing screws) and ta-da - a curling wand! I find that it somehow worked better - my curls were more uniform and it was quick and easy to achieve results.

Vivian, that's a good tip! I hadn't even thought of taking the clamp off. I'm gonna MacGuyver mine today hahahaha!!!

Clipless! I really recommend the Remington Pearl Clampless Curling Wand from target, it's only $25 and it is amazing. It's pink toooo hahahaha, but anyways I have both sizes and they do wonders, you can create many different curls with both of them.
