hey everyone!
i have glasses, and i love doing eyeshadow that is bold and bright... sometimes it looks a little weird because my glasses either: a) cover it, b) reduce the look, or c) make it look weird.
does anyone have any tips/tricks to have gorgeous make up on, and wear glasses?!

I keep my eyes very simple when I wear glasses, probably because I have a thicker frame. I make sure my lashes are super curled and my eyeliner is precise. I combo it with a bold lip (red is a fav with my glasses) and I usually pull my hair up. I rarely wear mine so when I do I make a big deal out of the look

I refuse to wear contacts because the thought of poking my eye grosses me out... [but I can wear eyeliner around the rim of my eye and poke my eye slightly to remove it? Go figure...]
Anyways, I always do a smokey eye w/ glasses... but if you really want your eye makeup to stand out - instead of changing up the makeup [blasphemy!] - try changing up the shape of your frames? You'll get a much more dramatic effect, and that paired w/ different makeup will be your winning combo. =D

I also took a look at your pictures Steph, and because you have thinner frames, I'm sure you can pull off any eyeshadow look you want. However, I think that with glasses, a winged eyeliner look is so nice and classy, but I'd do a blue or purple gel liner, something bold. Glasses I think shield your look a little (as weird as it sounds because the lenses are clear) , so its okay to do big bold looks-well , thats what I think :)

I don't wear glasses, but I hate when I see eyes way too done up under them (just one of my things). With thicker frames, I LOVE the look of a simple black liquid liner with a nice, bright lip (whether red or fuschia). I would stick to neutrals on your eyes though and I agree about brows -- well-groomed brows (especially with glasses) is a must.

I wear contacts and glasses. When I wear my glasses I tend to wear much more toned down eye looks. I stick to neutrals because the glasses totally cover up all the work I just did. I'd apply a beautiful foundation, bronzer, blush and a lip color of your choice. Also well groomed brows totally complete the look!
Hope this helps!

you can wear false lashes under your frames if your frames aren't super close to your eyes...

i wear glasses and I so know how you feel cuz I do too like to wear bright colors, I just go with, mine frames are black not to sure what colors your are that may have something to do with it too, if your doing a bright look you may have to go brighter to see the colors or if you think it covers it put more color in the middle of the eye that way people can see it more
