Share some of your DIY recipes, whether their facial masks hair masks, etc. I love to try new DIY recipes, some of the stuff you have in your kitchen can be better than some of the stuff we spend a lot of money on. Here's one of my favorites, I call it the lemon trick. Its a great exfoliater for your face
YOU'LL NEED:
- LEMON OR LEMON JUICE & REGULAR SUGAR
1. WET YOUR FACE WITH WARM WATER (TO OPEN YOUR PORES)
2. . TAKE A COTTON BALL OR ONE OF THOSE COTTON ROUNDS AND SOAK THAT WITH THE LEMON JUICE, THEN TAKE ABOUT A TEASPOON OF SUGAR AND PUT IT ON YOUR COTTON BALL OR COTTON ROUND (YOU CAN EVEN USE A WASHCLOTH)
3. TAKE YOUR COTTON BALL AND START SCRUBING AND BUFFING YOUR FACE. TRY AND GET THE AREAS THAT HAVE MORE IRRIATION OR BACTERIA LIKE YOUR T-ZONE. OR IF YOU HAVE ACNE, BLACKHEADS, SUNSPOTS ECT CONCENTRATE ON THOSE AREAS THE MOST.
4. KEEP GOING ALL AROUND YOUR FACE, TRY AND GET UP IN YOUR HAIRLINE (ESPECIALLY IF YOU DONT WASH YOUR HAIR EVERYDAY)
5.. THEN RINSE OFF YOUR FACE WELL AND I PROMISE YOU WILL LOVE THE WAY YOUR SKIN FEELS.
**THIS HELPS REMOVE DEAD SKIN CELLS, THE LEMONS HELP WIH ACNE, BLACKHEADS, DISCOLARATION, SUN SPOTS, AGE SPOTS. & THE SUGAR HAS WONDERFUL BENIFETS ALSO, ITS A GREAT EXFOLIANT AND IT SMOOTHS THE SKIN. IT MAKES YOUR SKIN FEEL SO SOFT AFTERWARDS! ITS ALMOST LIKE A MINI FACE PEEL BC YOUR REMOVING THAT TOP LAYER OF DIRTY SKIN**
If anyone tries it let me know what you think xoxo

Honey/Asprin Mask:
3 crushed uncoated asprin pills
1 tablespoon of honey
Use at night after steaming your face w/ a hot washcloth, leave on anywhere from 5-15 minutes. Wash off and your skin will feel smooth and skin feels fresh. I <3 this mask, especially if I feel a pesky pimple coming near...

No problem! I remember in HS chemistry, we made salacylic acid, and our instructor told us it was basically asprin, so I was interested when I first heard about the mask too. Make sure you aren't exposed to sunlight directly afterwards, as with most masks, since they decrease your skin's defense against the sun.

To help manage the damage from bleaching I use coconut oil + olive oil to make a hair mask. Leave on for 10-20 mins and shampoo out. Then condition as usual.
If I need some extra conditioning I mix the two ingredients with my K-Pak Recconstruct, cover with a shower cap, and top it all off with my old snowboarding beanie. Then it's off to sleep... when I wash it out in the morning my hair feels like silk.

1egg
2Tbs honey
1tsp olive oil
1tsp ground coffee beans.
I use this as a facial mask after I clean my face and before I go to bed. I wake up the next morning with the softest cheeks!
*The coffee beans act as a wonderful exfoliant.

I absolutely couldn't live without my coconut oil, sugar, coffee grounds scrub (equal parts sugar and coffee, add oil to your preferred consistency). I use it for everything! Daily on the feet and body my derm recommends daily exfoliating) and a few times a week on lips. I also ditched paying $$ anymore for face wash, I never liked the ingredients and none made any difference. I now use a mixture of castor oil and coconut oil. I know it seems so counter intuitive to put oil on the face, but castor oil is an amazing cleanser (oil breaks down other oils)! It can be very drying so watch your ratios though.

I should mention, when you do the face wash thing, it takes time, you massage it into the skin, then apply a hot wet washcloth, let cool on face, rinse cloth well, repeat until oil is gone. Super soft skin, all natural. Voila! Lol

I like to mix sugar, food edible food coloring, and olive oil and that makes a exfoliating scrub especially for people with sensitive skin like me.
