I've tried using velcro rollers a few times - both with my hair damp and dry - and every time I end up with a big tangled mess. I have long, very fine hair that is prone to breaking. No matter how careful I am rolling & unrolling my hair, it gets crazy tangled & wonder if I'll need scissor to get them out! Any advice? What am I doing wrong?

Are you combing your hair as you roll? It may help.

What size Velcro Rollers are you using? Longer the hair the bigger the roller
What size sections are you taking? If you are going for volume, you can take much bigger sections and everything will still come out fine.
Products used? A great leave in conditioner, is always good. Then you use a light hold hair spray or root lifter. very little product will go very far.
Letting you hair completely cool down (If using them after you blowdry) Helps, can also use a little teeny tiny bit of a shine spray or serum before putting the rollers in.
When taking them out I always. Lift Straight up then slowly start unwinding them, if the rollers are the right size it almost slides off like you are just brushing your hair.
Hope this helps at least a little bit
