I have tried all kinds of mascara to keep them from smudging under my eyes. I curl my lashes with an electric eyelash curler before and after applying - and no matter what brand mascara I use, I will have a bit of raccoon eyes a couple of hours later. Any tips, tricks, product recommendations will be appreciated! Thanks!

I struggle with this problem as well, to the point that I will rarely put mascara on my lower lashes because it will inevitably end up under my eyes.
Have you ever tried a lash primer?

Same here. I've tried really pricey ones and I still end up looking like a clown 4 hours later. Help!

Hmm girls, that's a tough question! I've heard lash primers are great for this, but haven't tried one myself :\

What about trying fibre-ish mascaras? Like the Imju Fiberwig Mascara, or the Kiss Me Heroine Make mascara (both Jap brands). They're more fibrous than liquid-ish, so perhaps they won't smear? I've tried both on my lower lashes and so far so good. Hope that helps!

I have thought about Kiss Me mascara but read some reviews that it clumps and dries out easily. I'm worried that tugging the product off will also break the lashes. Any thoughts?

It hasn't clumped for me so far, but it does kinda 'dry' up on your lashes. I guess it's coz it's fibre-ish. I remove it gently with a good eye makeup remover, and I haven't had any lashes breaking yet! =)

Hmmm....you sorta sold me on it. I will have to try it out sometime! Thanks for the rec! :)

Lol...it's been fab for me so far - I got the Volume and Curl one, and my lashes DO actually hold their curl. I could post before and after pics later to show you just how much I'm amazed by them! I can't stop raving about them! They work way better than Dejavu for sure.

Really? I'd love to see! I tried the Guerlain Le2 and while it does hold a curl, I get major raccoon marks. :(

you can try running a layer of great lash by maybelline in "clear" as a "top coat" if you will....helps to seal it a bit :)

Now there's a good idea....will try that next time. Thanks Dana!
