So, I have fairly short, sparse eyelashes that kind of go all over the place -- some go way left, some go way right, some go up, some go down. Whenever I use a regular eyelash curler and mascara, the craziness just seems to be accentuated. I'm wondering if a heated eyelash curler will help the hairs all go in one direction. Has anyone used heated eyelash curlers, and do they work? Or, any suggestions on curling lashes?

I love my heated eye lash curler! It'll probably help tame your lashes a little bit, not sure if it'll cure the problem. What I like about the heated eyelash curler is that I can curl my lashes after applying mascara not worry about breaking my lashes. I have pretty short lashes and it seems to help. I also have been using an eyelash lengthening product (rapidlash) and that totally helps!

What kind of heated lash curler do you use? Do you think it matters which one I get?

I don't think it matters. I use the one from Sephora, costs about $13. I do have to replace the battery every month or so - it take 1 AAA.

I personally am scared of any heat touching my lashes. I permed my lashes years ago (and it works) and that scared me to death. I'm currently using Talika's lash serum and it seems to be conditioning my lashes, making them a tiny bit longer and curlier...

I have super short, super straight, & super thin lashes. I have the Avon heated lash curler. I use it just to apply heat on my lashes before using my Shiseido lash curler. It helps A LOT when it comes to my lashes.

I SWEAR by my heated curler... put it this way, your hair wouldn't hold a curl that well without a heated curler right? Same thing! :) Curl AFTER mascara is dried though :) Don't be tempted to do it before!

Heated eyelash curlers can be tricky. They either curl too much or burn your eyelids. I like heating mine up w. the good old fashion blow-dryer. The perfect amount of heat for the perfect curl!

I tried a heated one a while back and didnt really see a difference, i just stick to my regular one and heat it with a lighter LOL i think it works better and u can control the heat better as well

I didn't like mine.. I got it as a gift, and it just didn't heat up enough. I hear about people who get their manual curlers and put it up against their hair straighteners or a lighter to heat it up before they curl their eyelashes, apparently that works to make the curls stay longer.

I am kind of afraid to heat up my manual curler; my eyes are so hooded, and my eyelashes are so short, that I have to really place it on my lids to get to my lashes. I saw good reviews on the Blinc heated curler, and, it just so happened that there was a great deal on HauteLook.com this week, so I went ahead and bought it.
