I don't normally match my eyeshadow to my to my outfits , i usually wear a color that goes with whatever im wearing . Some of these makeup no no's are just a little to much for me. I say be rebel . lol If its what you like do it.

Yea a lot of people say that is the worst thing to do and blah blah blah... But I think it's fun! If I'm wearing a multi-colored shirt, I'll normally only pull one or two of the colors from the shirt just to not overdo it.. That rule is sooooo boring though! lol

its personal preference i think. sometime ill match my cami or a peice of jewelry but if im wearing a green or blue shit im not going to go all out green. maybe have a hint of shimmer in that color. i use to match everything in high school so i dont anymore or i feel like im back in school. i normally just compliment my colors with shades that look good with my outfit or go for a smokey eye cause that never fails haha

i dont see anything wrong with it, its all fun anyways right! do what you love not what others tell ya girl, just rock it and it doesnt matter!

i usually go with colors that 'go with" what i'm wearing, or if i'm wearing all black i do bright colors, sometimes i match what i am wearing depend on my mood ;)

I love matching my makeup to my outfit! I've never heard of it as a "no, no" - even if it is, OH WELL because I still like to do it :) Obviously wearing blue eyeshadow with a blue shirt would look better than wearing a orange shirt with purple eyeshadow (I accidentally did that one time, it was horrible) I think it looks really cute when you match your makeup to the colors of your outfit!

The reason why most experts advise against being matchy matchy with your makeup and clothing is that it's easy to go overboard with a color (purple shadow, purple lipstick, purple dress, and purple shoes) and then you end up looking like you're in costume. Personally, I think a matching color accent is cute (tangerine lipstick and an Hermes orange belt), just avoid head-to-toe looks.

I think it looks nice to compliment what you're wearing with your makeup. Sometimes I match everything and sometimes I go with an eyeshadow that I think looks good with the color I'm wearing. Or if I want to make one or the other stand out I will try to use contrasting colors. As most of us agree, do whatever u want if it makes you feel pretty!

I love to match what I am wearing to my eyeshadow! However if I am wearing a solid color like black or white I try to go a little adventurous on the eyes :) But like the rest of the beauties have said "Do what makes you feel the prettiest!"

If you like rocking it do it! Usually what I do is if for example if I wear a black shirt I would do like some light to purple eyeshadow on my lids just to contrast the purple and black blouse that I wear! But if your concern you can never go wrong with using neutral or brown eyeshadows...

Personally, I come from the "pop of colour" school. My wardrobe is mostly black, grey, white, and some pastels, so I like to do brighter, more off-the-wall colours on my eyes since I know will really pop against my neutrals. --but if I'm wearing something more colourful, I'll try to find something complimentary or tied-in, but not the same. The human eye can misinterpret purple dress, purple eyeshadow as ONE BIG FLAT BLOB OF PURPLE. The same theory goes for matching your shadow to your eye colour: some people swear it pops the eyes, others (like myself) tend to feel that it blurs the distinction between eye and lid.

BUT. Like Susana above said, if you can rock the matchy-matchy, do it! Just do it with confidence, and don't let what anyone else says shake your self-assurance. Do what makes you feel good--it's your face, do it up as you like it!

Umm, sometimes you can sometime you 'shouldnt'...you should wear makeup to match your face and you should wear accessories to make an outfit 'pop' sometimes not ur makeup..

its just depends on what ur wearing, and how u wear it as well..

Mostly when I'm wearing black, white or grey clothing I like to go bright on my eyes. I don't think it looks bad to match what you're wearing, I do that sometimes too, but I guess it may take away the attention from your eyes if you're wearing the same colored shirt or something. I guess it's just a personal preference, but I really don't see what the problem is either. :)
