I just heard on tv that women over 40 should not line the bottom of their eye, and keep the liner on the top only. What does everyone think. I am not 40 yet, but this makes me a little sad.

Boo! Throw that TV away! What the TV should be saying is: with age all of our skin looses elasticity. That translates into our eyes crepeing or drooping. Some times liner on top or bottom can emphasize this. Check it out for yourself. Try some liner on, in fact try it on a few different ways! Maybe using a lighter neutral colors for a more natural look. By the looks of your photos, you don't have anything to worry about!

I'm over 50 and I use it, on bottom and top. I use a lighter color, not black.

yeah! I'm not quite 40 but I'm pushing it! Just not ready to give up my smoky eye.

My mom is 52 and she wears her smokey eye look out everyday and looks amazing.

Both upper and lover look good on me.....

My Mother is one of those people who wears make-up on a special occasion and she is 56. She wears both top and bottom in a dark grey (black is too harsh for her) and it suits her fine.

I think it depends on how the person is aged, not the number.

I completely agree with Louise-Lesley, it -really- depends on how the person aged, not the actual number.
My mom is 58 but she looks so much younger than her age so bottom liner looks fine on her.

It really doesn't matter because it depends on the individual. If you wanna rock the eyeliner on top and bottom, go for it. Who cares what other people thinks. Do whatever makes you feel confident.
