I have mild acne which is very red. It stands out so much on my fair skin and I get really aware of it. I also have acne scarring which is very dark at the moment. I have been using Mac Pro Longwear concealer, but I find that it doesn't cover/neutralise the acne very well and it normally wears off by about half way through the day and looks cakey. I'm going to Selfridges in a few days, and I am going to invest in a new concealer, do you have any reccomendations for the best high-end concealer that will help hide my acne?

I have the same issue and I've found that benefits erase paste worked well to cover my red spots and acne scars. For me any loose powder goes a way long to make the concealer last. Mufe hd powder is great.

Try cover fix!! The brands is designed specially for people that have issues with their skin, it's great, and it could cover tattoos too, when applied layer after layer. It doesn't look cakey on the skin, but that is my own personal experience. You should go to sephora and try it out!

Oh, I live in the UK, we don't have Sephora! LOL. But anyway I got erase paste and I love it! :) But I'm going to the US soon, so will try Cover Fix! :)

For a super-long-wearing coverup that literally will hide anything, I like Dermablend. It's designed for covering up everything from pimples and port wine stains (those reddish birthmarks like Gorbachev's) to brown spots and tattoos. There's a setting powder that you can use it with, but I find that it stays pretty well without the powder. The trick is to always apply pimple cover up with a concealer brush--the narrower the point the better. You want to just dab the camouflage just on the spot--that will prevent caking around the pimple and prevent nasty bacteria and oils from transferring from your finger to your skin. Make sure to wash the brush with baby shampoo too to keep it clean.

I like Cover FX's Camouflage Concealer.
It has Tumeric in it which helps soothe/calm the inflammation of the blemish & acts as an antiseptic. Perfect for acne prone skin. Non-drying or stripping of the essential oils in your skin =)
<3 Hope this helps.

I have extremely fair skin and totally understand you about how noticeable red spots can be on fair skin. I used to use benefits boing , this product simply did not work at all for me. To start off it only comes in 3 colors and the lightest color was still to dark for my skin, and it would end up all cakey on me. I recently purchased the Kat Von D concealer and it is uummmaazing! It has worked wonders with my skin especially since lately I have been breaking out a a tad bit. It will cover anything and this product as well claims to cover tattoos. They have a great range of colors. I use the color porcelain which is the lightest color, if you too have extremely fair skin then this color would be great for you. I recommend you check it out when you come to the U.S. at sephora.

You can try out Murad, Bare Essentials, or Clinique concealers. They all have skincare benefits to them so as they are on the spot/area, its also working to improve the mark or blemish. You can also try a BB cream as well.

Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage is amazing! It's made to go on open acne and won't cause irritation. It's tricky to learn to use at first but once you get the hang of it you'll be in love and it lasts for ever! I've also used it to cover tattoos on my clients, it's that concealing!

I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned, but MUFE Full Cover Concealer! Amazing shade selection, perfect even for covering tattoos! But never looks cakey.. & waterproof :) a tad pricey though :( x
