Hey guys. I'm really on the hunt for some fun, funky, and well made false lashes. I HATE spending a ton of money, and I like the ones that are built tough and re-usable. Any tips on what brands make the best ones, and where to buy? Thanks loves!

sonia kashuk lashes from Target are pretty cheap, about $4.99. I usually get 5 or more uses out of them. NYX also has great quality lashes. They have natural styles to theatrical lashes. Check out nyxcosmetics.com or cherryculture.com. Hope this helps :)

I've never had a problem with any false eyelashes EXCEPT "no name" costume ones found at stores during Halloween.
You CAN clean eyelashes to reuse them but you need to be very careful as not to ruin the lashes. First, peel off as much glue as possible. Second, take a shallow dish and place your eyelashes in it, add liquid makeup remover that can remove waterproof mascara and allow to sit for a minute to two minutes. Wipe clean with a baby wipe. Repeat until clean. Do NOT use a makeup remover that contains oil because it makes reapplication of glue difficult.
If you still have the plastic form it came on then apply a couple of drops of eyelash glue to the form and apply the lashes back to the form after you cleaned and dried the lashes. Good to go for the next time you want to use them.

Hey Erin! We tried these NYX special effects lashes and they were pretty good! Definitely see them lasting a while if you take proper care of them. I think they retail about $10

I think the brand is Ardell but you can find them at Sally Beauty Supply for about $3. There is a lot of variety, I don't buy lashes anywhere else :)

I've also had a lot of luck with Ardell lashes. Great variety, I re-use mine 5-10 times depending on how well I take care of them. I've found them at department and drug stores for about $6

I <3 Asian lashes! I always bug friends and family to load up for me when they go on trips to Asia, but you can find them online via Ebay for relatively cheap! My favorite brand is Model 21... for about $10 [cost+shipping] - you get 10 pairs of really good and durable lashes. They make ELF ones feel like you're applying lashes made of streamer paper on your eyes after you've tried them. =D

It depends on what you like....
Red Cherry - Lightweight, CHEAP ( i get mine for $1.35 a pair) but can only use once or twice
Korean Brands (various ones)- they are stiff and heavy but totally reusualble and can even be gently washed to look like new. Each pair is not more than $5. My friend uses hers for a month straight!
Personally, MAC's, Ardell and other brands are the same quality as Red Cherry's. You are basically paying for packaging. Shu Uemura is nice but not worth the $18 a pop.

You should definitely look into Salon Perfect lashes. They're available in most drugstores, but you'll get better deals at a Wal-Mart. They range from natural to more dramatic styles, and they all have a thin, flexible band so you don't have to worrry about flexing/bending them beforehand.
