Girl please be careful! What I always did was use spray-on spf, let it dry and then spray tanning oil on top and let that dry. Just try not to stay out too long! Good luck! :)

Think about when you cook food on a frying pan. Oils are often used to help to food brown up. That's basically what you're doing to your skin. Don't get me wrong, I use tanning oil but most of the time, I end up burning yourself. It's better just to only use sunscreen at first until you have a good base and then use oil. I find I tan a lot faster when I use tanning lotion (JERGENNNNNSSS =]) but if I'm going to be out in the sun, why not get a little colour??

If I could get into a tanning time machine and go back in time to slap myself, I would. Tanning is SO SO SO bad. It makes you look older.. it REALLY does. You won't see it till you're probably closer to 30, but trust me, when you do see it it's so upsetting. Freckles everywhere.. where did they even come from, they weren't there yesterday?!?! Subtle wrinkles.. and not just on your face but on your CHEST- ewwwww!! Dark spots on my face, what the heck??!!!
So tan away if you really want to, but if you decide to skip it and go for the faux glow instead feel free to get in your tan time machine and come back to thank me!

If you're concerned about the consequences, just keep using your sunscreen and pair it with a bottle tan until you're the shade you're after.

i go for the spray tans and they've never left me looking orange like everyone thinks...any salon has the spray tans and if youre a newcomer they usually have really good deals!
on the other hand- Ive also used Hawaiian tropic and noticed i always had a lot of bees coming around when i had it on so i don't use it very often.other than that, i think it worked great

Put on sunscreen so you get tan and not burnt and also this makes it so its less of an orangy tan, make sure your skin is moisterized no matter what kind of lotion(I use cocoa butter you can get a 32oz. one at walmart for 1.97), spray water on you during tanning it attracts the sun more and helps cool you down, I heard that if you go outside then inside every 20 min it gets you tanner because it builds up and there's less chance of getting burnt. Hope this helped!

Honestly if you want to get tan really fast and beautiful tan here is what I did: (It took me four days)
1. I bought this tanning lotion (green tea Based) from www.saltblockstore.com. A bunch of my friends have it and recommend it so I decided to give it a try.
2. I went to the beach (I live close to the beach) and put sunscreen, very low protection, 15 SPF and on top the tanning oil. This way the tanning oil accelerates my tan without getting sunburn. By the end of day 1 I was already brownish. I was so impressed! Not to mention that the tanning oil is 100% natural.
3. I did the same thing for the 2nd and 3rd day. By day 4 I did not used the sunscreen and I was already tan (Gold Tan)
I only went outside for like 4-5 hours each day. Maybe less.
Good Luck
