Bleaching my hair...

So I've been bleaching my hair and gradually working up to a light blonde, but each time I bleach my hair the bleach dries very quickly on the length and ends of my hair but stays moist within an inch or two of my roots. As a result the dry parts stop processing before the rest of my hair and then the bottom is about a shade or two darker than the top of my hair. Any tips for keeping the bleach from drying so quickly?

Wrap it in aluminum foil. That's what I do, & I was having the same problem. & when I started to wrap it, it stopped drying out. :) Hope this helped!

Okay thanks :) I heard that speeds up the processing time, did it seem to do that for you?

Wrapping it in foil will.. in fact I thought you arent suposed to let bleach touch metal things.. could be wrong though
I usually wrap a plastic bag around mine =]

I defff would not wrap your hair in the foil, I'm a blonde also, when you wrap it in foil, the bleach with puff up, foil is ONLY for when your doing highlights, not for when your processing your hair. try and pile all of your hair on top of your head and clip it, and wrap a grocery bag around your head, it will help. (: thats what I do.

When I had my ombré, I wrapped the whole part in foil & it turned out fine. :) I guess it depends on your hair! It kept my bleach from drying, & it made a difference from when I didn't do it without foil. It turned out brighter! But it all depends on your hair! :) Good luck!

Wrap it in plastic wrap, or put on a plastic shower cap!

Well yeah, when your doing ombre, its only a part of your hair... not the whole entire head of hair. When you put foil over the bleach, the bleach expands. Too much heat isnt good when bleaching it'll make your hair like angel hair pasta. A little more than half of the top of my hair is lightest ash blonde like white did it myself, with foil it gets waaaay too warm and it'll start breaking. If you want to do foil with small parts or sections thats fine, like highlights. (: Even if the bleach starts to dry, the processing won't stop, the only way it stops is if water gets onto it. If it gets a little dry don't worry to much.
