Has anyone had it done or know anyone who has? How was the post-op? And the results? I want to do it, I'm just nervous it won't work or something worse than the scars will happen to my skin.

It all depends on the type of laser being used for the resurfacing. I have had both pixel and fraxel. Fraxel has a bit more downtime like 10 days or so. Pixel can take 3-7 days but 4 treatments minimum are recommended. After both for the first couple of days it looks and feels as though you have the worst sunburn ever. The rest of the healing time your skin will just look very dry and be continuously peeling and flaking. If you are getting these treatments done by someone qualified you should be okay, plus they should always be doing a test patch on your skin a week or so prior to getting the actual treatment to see if there are any adverse skin reactions and also that will give you a taste of what the healing is like. You can do much deeper laser resurfacing treatments that can leave you with 6-8 weeks of downtime... which actually can be a little bit riskier due to infection and such. I am a certified laser technician, and the reasons why I gave had these treatments both were to know how they feel. I currently work with the pixel and the results are exceptional. :)
