Try using a base coat and nail strengthning polishes before you add the color you want :)

I have this same problem. I've even tried polishes with built in top coats and same problem!

When you put your base coat on, go over the tip of your nail and under it a bit. let it dry, do your thing, and when you apply your topcoat do the same thing! doing this keeps mine chip-free for longer. :)

Make sure to swipe your nails with polish remover or acetone before you apply any polish. Use a good base coat and top coat, my polish rarely chips until the 3-4 day regardless of the brand if I follow those simple rules!

I learned an awesome trick! Buff your nails with one of those nail filers that has like 7 different textures to it! It seriously makes my polish last longer! By the 2nd week, my nail polish is growing out but there are no chips :) I also use Essie nail polish and their top coat and they work so well :)

I swear by Revlon ColorStay base and top coats. They are designed to work with ColorStay polish, but I have found that even with regular polish the color stays a week, with a little minor tip wear but no big chips.

Zoya makes a great line. When I use their base, color and top coat I can get up to 5 days with no chips. Highly recommend it.
