It matters. There are plenty factors. How long are you swimming? How good and long lasting is the makeup? I would recommend experimenting...maybe put on waterproof makeup for the day and take a shower before you take it off. If it lasts it most likely will in the pool. Just keep checking on your makeup and bring wipes to touch up. :)

Well I went swimming last week, hate to say it but I can't leave the house without makeup. so make up was a factor when swimming.. my fiend wore waterproof mascara.. it washed off he lashes and onto her cheeks, then it wouldnt rub off her cheeks coz it was waterproof. I wore a little bit of regular mascara, it came off my lashes a little, but then any I got on my cheeks was easily wiped off

Depends on the brands. Some brands says they are waterproof but also depends on the person cuz everyone's different. But I know makeup forever has a lot of waterproof products and they are amazing

I'd wear non waterproof
