I'd say do what there's less of. If the purple is the dominant color, paint them gold, and vice versa. But if your dress itself has none of the other colors on it, a simple French mani is still classic and elegant.

I think that for wedding is very nice French manicure, because it looks very natural :) in my opinion on wedding the beauty is in us and we don't need any "extra effects" but it's just my point of view :) and congratulations to yours  marriage!!
