These aren't exactly curls more like you cringed. It but I braided my hair into several braids while it was wet and had it like that over night it looked great the next morning.

Take sections of (damp) hair and wrap/twist it around your index and middle finger all the way until you get up to your head (obviously going in an upward motion). Bobbypin it down to your head. Then leave it in when you go to bed. When you wake up just take them out! You might want to use a frizz -ease spray if your hair get frizzy.

Get curlers I have foam ones that I sleep in and they work well use damp hair though I got them for Christmas.

Wash your hair the night before and then French braid it and take it out in the morning I do this all the time and I really like how it looks but that's just me :)
