Dark Brown to Dark Red??

So this is me now (trying to grow out my hair but its taking forever) I want to get it to a redish color, any advice??

The bottom of her hair is what I'd like to acomplish, is bleach the way or can I use a magenta color dye?? help! please (:

You can use Loreal HiColor HiLights in Magenta or Red Hot, or mix them haha. I used it before when my hair was brown and it definitely catches. Just don't leave it in your hair for too long if you don't want it to be too vibrant.

here's a link to an amazing dye for dark hair. I used the red on mine, on top of layers of brown dye, and it turned the most gorgeous shade of red that I've ever seen. no bleach required, you just need developer in the vol. you'd like to use.
