Do check your thyroid levels! hypothyroidism leads to intense hairfall.I had an experience.
visit your dermatologist.

You can get that checked at any doctor...do you take biotin? It might be stress related.

It could be alopecia. That's when your immune system attacks the hair follicles. And yes it could be from stress too, I lost a large amount if hair when I was 18. My boss at the time was severely making me stressed out and when I quit it stopped falling out.

I have been having lots of hair loss :( it's so embarrassing. I'm on the birth control called Depo-Provera (aka the Depo Shot) and I believe that is the culprit for my hair loss! I hear a good diet that includes lots of protein is suppose to be good for hair loss!

Sarah, I had no idea either. Then, I looked up side effects on one of those medical websites and it stated that! It's such a terrible form of birth control :( I can't wait til it gets out of my system!

Almost the same thing happend to me at the end of last summer... I went to the doctor and she said I was low on iron and I was really stressed out. Try essaential oils lavender and sweet almond oil in your shampoo put about 3 to 5 drops each, the almond oil helps clear the scalp of dead skin cells that can build up on your hair follicles... which can stop hair growth! Try to wash your hair only 2 to 3 times a week and also put organic coconut oil one to two times a week... keep the coconut oil on for about 20 to 30 mins and I didn't message my scalp I just let it sit there so less hair would fall out. Try not to brush your hair comb it, and never go to bed with your hair wet let your hair air dry or put your hair dryer on cool! You can also try taking biotin & vitamin E... with in a few weeks you should see a HUGE difference, You can find any of these things online or at a health food store. I can not tell you how much this has helped me!!

I tried coconut oil , olive oil massage but nothing positive happened. only 30 30 strands of hauir fall out during massage. I took iron pills too but sadly it didn't help. every time I see a doctor, he/she says its normal. but 50 to 60 strands falling out in a day is NOT normal.

First thing is you have to stop stressing out! I had the same problem while in school do to stress. Get your life more organized and scheduled and make sure you get enough sleep! More then 6 hours. Keep doing coconut oil and massaging your scalp nightly as well as brushing. Take biotine and vit E daily these are all just things to strengthen your hair. The key is to fix the problem not mask it. Stres- find how to change your lifestyle. Foods- stay away from high processed foods, and eat more protein. It took 3onths before I realized hey my hair isn't falling out as much! Oh also don't wear your hair up everyday it damages it and falls out. If you have seen a doctor and they have checked for any underline reasons and no red flags come up then its up to you to be healthier and de-stress urself it's not easy and takes time.also I noticed when my hair was falling out the weather was getting warmer like shedding. If you start having bald spots then you need to see a specialist.

Agree with everything Hedder L said...along with biotin you can also try primrose oil supplements...our hair follicles need lots of protein so increase the protein intake too...hav plenty of fluids...do not wash your hair too often jst 2 times a week is enough...use a sulfate free shampoo n conditioner...castor oil helps hair grow thicker so mix it up with your coconut oil...daily intake of flaxeed powder with water helps a lot...lastly try nt 2 worry too much...see a specialist if you can n get a complete check up done...gud luck :)

Another thing that helped me, Is eating more organic healthy food and drinking LOTS of water. I believe in the saying "You are what you eat." In other words you eat junk your going to feel like it to! Your hair and body will look and feel so much better if you just try to eat more health!
