I've been trying to fill in my eyebrows but just don't know how to start! I've tried it &' I just looked like a clown &' from what I heard it had to match your hair? Ppllleeaassseeee help ):

No it does not need to match your hair. If you're dark haired, you want to go two shades lighter. If you're blonde or light you want to go two shades darker. Pencil or felt usually looks a lot more drawn in, so for beginners I would recommend brow powder. It's a lot more natural and soft. Use small, keyword small, brush strokes. Lighter towards the front of your brows and shading in a little darker at the ends. Use a light hand as well. Then use a spooly to brush it out and blend your brows with the product. I recommend Anastasia brow products.. So pigmented and because of the quality you don't need much so it lasts. Another cheaper alternative is the milani eyebrow kit!

And if you can invest an having trouble with filling in brows, too faced I believe, and sigma offer brow kits with eyebrow shapers which you basically put the shaper on your eyebrows that is the closest shape to your natural brows and just fill it in! Like a tracer when were in elementary school lol. You can also find individual eyebrow tracers on eBay or amazon as well.
