I have acne on my skin.so to mask it I apply foundation and concealer on my face.
I just wanted to know that does applying make up on acne skin worsens it?!!
I usually wear no make up on most days.and if it all I wear make up..its just for 3-4 hours..later I remove it.

Yes wearing makeup over your acne does make it worse, it's better to let your skin breathe. Remember to always use a cleanser, toner, and moisturizer.

It's not good for it at all. I would say if you really want to wear the makeup to always make sure to wash your face before you put it on and before you remove it. When I take off my make up (I use grapeseed oil), I let it sit on my face with a hot washcloth over my face for 30 seconds and then wash it off. The heat sometimes helps with any of the pimples I do have. But I also wash with black soap after that just to be sure and apply a moisturizer.

If you want coverage, you could try a foundation from bourjois, they have a special acne one I think... or a tinted moisturiser or a bb cream. I hope these work!

If hormonal acne attacks me I switch up and use a light touch of mineral powder foundation. I don't like applying a lot of product on my face during those yucky times. Less is better in my opinion.

I would still wear foundation when you're going out to a party or event. Of course it's not great for it but it's not going to do any serious damage, and it's not like you're always wearing it on a daily basis. It's great that you're using non clogging and non comedogenic brands.

I would also use a primer (I really recommend Porefessional by Benefit) it will reduce oil( and it's oil free), it's lightweight, it will make your skin feel silky and minimize your pores and the most important thing is that it will create kind of like a barrier between your skin and the foundation so that it shouldn't irritate the skin. And as said before, always cleanse and tone your skin :)

To cover moderate to severe acne, you will need a full coverage foundation. Start with a clean and moisturized face. Use a primer such as Cover FX's for acne prone skin. I would get a professional foundation, such as Cover FX or Cinema Secrets or Graftobian or even MAC full coverage (some of these are only available to pros). After applying, let the foundation "cook." This means let it sit for 15 or so minutes. Then, using just one ply of a tissue (you'll have to separate it), lay it on the face and press in gently to absorb excess oils from the foundation or your skin. Then do your correcting and concealing. Use a finely tipped brush. Dip it in a concealer like Keromask or OCC or Yaby. Tap on the blemish. Then using your ring finger (your weakest finger) tap the spot to blend in. Be sure the concealer is your skin tone or a slight bit darker. If you use a lighter color on a zit it will make it stand out. Same reason we all know white pants make our butts look bigger than black ones. Anything you put light on will look bigger and stand out. Then set the makeup with a loose translucent or no color powder. Use a puff, NOT a brush, and PRESS the powder heavily into the skin. Let it sit a minute. Then very lightly brush away the excess with a powder, fan or blush brush. Set with a setting spray like UD's de-slick spray or Ben Nye Final Seal.
To lessen breakouts, wash your makeup brushes EVERY time you use them. Also wash your hands before you touch or wash your face.
