Brushes made with natural boar hair bristles are great, they're a lot less harsh than plastic bristles and really encourage shine and softness! I noticed a big difference after I started using mine!

I agree with Mairead; sometimes I forget that I even have a brush because I use my wide toothed comb so much. They really reduce frizz and breakage and detangle well.
