I'm doing my own makeup but I can't decide. It's going to be in daytime. I wanted to go with more fresh and luminous makeup since it is Spring rather than the matte but I'm in Texas and we know how hot and humid Texas could be. Any suggestions would be truly appreciate and I'll be honestly and totally grateful.
My skin type: dry and flaky but get slightly oily when it's too hot and humid.

Definitely matte, better for pictures.

I live in Houston and know exactly what you mean. I would go with matte makeup with slightly shimmery yet natural eyeshadow. Trust me, when the sun is shining on your face, it will make your face look luminous in the pictures anyways! Congrats and best of luck!

Matte. My skin is so oily no matter the weather, so I get a glow after an hour or so anyway.

I'm a makeup artist definitely always do brides with a matte finish on the face but definitely shimmer on inner corner of eyes opens them up.

On my cousin, I did a photo finish foundation that was more of a satin finish and I pushed powder

Oops.
Pushed powder onto anywhere it was going to slip (T zone, forehead).

I would highly recommend you hire a professional artist. He or she will be able to ensure your makeup looks lovely, photographs beautifully, and is weather and tear proof. No worries!

Matte without a doubt.

Thanks all. Gonna test the matte finish out and see how it holds in this weather. I'm going to stick to light weight matte. A melting heavy and matte makeup is freakishly scary looking.
