I'm still new to wearing anything more than barely-there eyeliner and mascara, and I'm currently trying to master winged eyeliner.
Right now I like how it looks with my eye open, but does it look weird with my eyes down? Like too long and skinny? (See photo)

Instead of a straight line out, curve it where the wing connects to your lid. One smooth line will do all the difference! You are doing wonderful :)

Also another tip would be to angle the eyeliner where your brow naturally ends! Good luck and looks great for just beginning! When I started a got eyeliner all over (and I do mean all over) my face because I wasn't used of liquid :)

Hi Vanessa,

First off wow - you have quite stunning eyes. Second, the liner looks great - you can follow the other lovely ladies' advice and extend the wing out more or add a black shadow with an angled brush for an Audrey Hepburn esque look. Love it.

When I do a wing liner I use pencil first so I have something to follow then I go over with the liquid makes it easier and actually helps it to last longer too:)
