Thinking about getting some but are they worth the hype?

I don't think they are! There are many brands that are just as good and aren't as expensive!

I've got a babyliss straightner and its great but I did pay?100 for it :/ cheap straightners don't do a good job.

Honestly, I have a Remington and it works perfectly fine. I use it every single day and it takes me about 10mins to do my whole head every morning

I've got nicky Clarke ones, I think that's what they're called anyway.. But they are really good! Used to have Remington ones and they were also good! X.

I used to use other straightener before, but now I ONLY use ghd. It is really worth the money. They warm up so fast and the hair truly feels much better after using it and they make good curls too if you don't have a curling iron. X.

GHD is pretty good. I have them. I think it's worth the price but if you want something a little cheaper, remington works too.

I've done A LOT of research on this...and no. It's basically just a 'designer' brand where you're paying more for the name than anything else. After reading reviews, I bought the Chi Turbo. I tried out a friend's ghd, and honestly I prefer my Chi; it has heat settings, and the body is easier to handle.

http://www.folica.com has a great flat iron guide and tons of reviews.

I think so as I have Vidal Sassoon ones and they are quite bad, but be careful you don't singe your hair with them, as they have no heat control, I use my mums ghds and they're fine.
