How do you make really loose waves with volume? I use my straighteners sometimes to curl it , my hair is only just below my shoulders so it makes it feel a bit to limp looking and shortens it to much.

How about pin curls? Not too tight though if you want loose waves. Your hair is fine so maybe just one curl on each side and one in the back and let them dry overnight.

If you roll your hair around your fingers like a pin curl then slide your fingers out and hold the curl then press with your straighter it makes loose waves.Rockerbarbii has a good video on YouTube. I think it's under beach waves.
